Our philosophy of education at Palmetto Christian School and Palmetto Preschool begins with the knowledge that God is the source of all truth (Luke 11:52; Proverbs 1:7). Since God is in all and for all, He is at the heart of our curriculum. God is our frame of reference as we learn of our surrounding world. Therefore, the Bible itself holds a position of priority in our school’ philosophy of education. Its resolve is to inspire and encourage the student of the need for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Its aim is to cultivate, reprove, and inspire the student to live a life that is dedicated, full of service, and dependent on God in every area (Ephesians 4:1-6).
As Scripture clearly states in Deuteronomy 6:9-12 and Proverbs 22:6, it is the sole responsibility and privilege of parents to stimulate the joy of learning for their children. Hence, it is the purpose and objective of Palmetto Christian School and Palmetto Preschool to partner with parents in providing a grounded Christian education.
PCS is excited to announce the launch of its Online Academy. PCS will offer its curriculum online for parents and students who prefer the home environment for their education rather than a school classroom. This curriculum (Ignitia) both guides and adjusts to the student’s academic progress and is very ‘user friendly’ for parents to supervise. As part of your tuition payment PCS will monitor the academic progress of the student, offer any academic aid necessary, as well as allow these ‘home school’ students to attend field trips, special school activities, etc. For more information please click on the tab below and we look forward to working alongside and in partnership with you for the best possible education for your child. There is legislation currently moving through Tallahassee at FHSAA about having student-athletes from one private school without a sports program (like PCS) to be able to play at another private school who has a sports program and is a member school of the FHSAA. Currently, it is allowed in the public school system, but not among private schools.
PCS has reached out to Florida Christian School, if this legislation should pass, about allowing our student-athletes to play on their sports teams. In other words, students would attend PCS, but could play at and for Florida Christian School on their JV squads (boys and girls) at the FHSAA level. We are awaiting word on this legislation.
Once we have a definite answer in this regard we will pass along the information for this amazing opportunity for your son/daughter right away.

When South Florida Ballet opened in 1997, Artistic Director Jennifer Rose wanted to create a ballet school accessible for those who wished to pursue ballet professionally and for enthusiasts who appreciated the art form. Coming from a past where access to ballet training was primarily audition-based, South Florida Ballet sought to provide a premier dance education for all interested.
PCS is proud to announce a new partnership with Ebenezer Learning Center (K2-2nd grade). Located at 4111 SW 4th st (Miami, FL, 33134) the Ebenezer Learning Center has been faithfully teaching students the Gospel and serving Miami for over 60 years.
PCS will be providing transportation to our campus to students that have graduated from the Learning Center in order to continue their Christian education at PCS. We look forward to a long-lasting partnership with Ebenezer, which we hope and pray will serve as a witness to our community in regards to the Christian partnership to bless our beautiful city.
